Who is responsible
Eva Hyder, operating as Meteor16, is responsible for the information described here. This policy covers this website and inquiries about our services. For privacy questions, email info@meteor16.com.
Information we collect
When you submit an inquiry, we collect your name, role, company website, email address, answers about your current challenges and the help you’re looking for, and any additional information you provide.
Our hosting and security services also process technical information, such as IP addresses and browser information. Our inquiry system keeps submission and delivery records and security identifiers derived from IP addresses and email addresses.
You choose whether to contact us. The form marks required fields; without them, it cannot accept your inquiry.
Why we use information
We use information to process and respond to inquiries, discuss possible work, manage correspondence, deliver emails and protect the website against abuse.
Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in handling business inquiries and operating a secure website. When you ask us to take steps towards providing services to you personally, we use the information necessary to take those steps before entering into a contract.
Services we use
We use Cloudflare to host and protect the website and store inquiries, Resend to send inquiry-related emails, and Google Workspace for our email correspondence.
We use AI-assisted tools provided by OpenAI to help organize and summarize inquiries and prepare responses. This may involve processing the contact details and other information you send us through those tools. For more information about OpenAI’s practices, see its Privacy Policy, explanation of model-improvement data use, and dots privacy guidance.
Your submitted information is included in the notification sent to us. An acknowledgment is sent to the email address you provide. The email providers handling those messages also process them.
Cloudflare Turnstile processes security signals to distinguish people from bots. Cloudflare also uses those signals to improve bot detection. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
International processing
Meteor16 is based in California. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Questions? Email info@meteor16.com.
How long we keep information
We retain information needed for ongoing client relationships and related legal or business obligations. We periodically review inactive inquiries and delete information we no longer need.
We may keep limited records longer where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Technical and delivery records are retained as needed to operate and protect the inquiry service. Deletion from active records may not immediately remove copies held in providers’ backup and recovery systems.
Your information and choices
To request deletion of your personal information, email info@meteor16.com. We may need to keep limited information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to access or correct your information, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may have the right to object to our use of your information. Email info@meteor16.com to make a request.
You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes
We may update this policy as our website or practices change. We’ll post the revised policy here with an updated date.
